Privacy Policy for Nodisey Last updated: June 24, 2026 This Privacy Policy explains how Nodisey (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information. Nodisey is designed as a local-first note, drawing, document, media, reminder, search, study, and personal productivity app. We do not sell your data. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, third-party crash analytics, data brokers, or cross-app tracking. Most App data is stored locally on your device. Nodisey does not operate a custom backend account system and does not provide a server-based account. Some Apple system services may process limited data when you choose to use features such as App Store subscriptions, iOS backups, Speech Recognition, Apple Intelligence, Translation, Spotlight, Siri, Shortcuts, Photos, Camera, Microphone, or local notifications. 1. The App uses only the item you select through the system picker. Nodisey may request add-only Photos permission when you choose to save selected images to your Photos library. The App does not need full photo library access for this save operation. Camera, photo, and Photos behavior may also depend on Apple’s iOS permission system, device settings, hardware availability, and OS restrictions. 2.5 Microphone and audio recordings Nodisey may request microphone access when you choose to record a voice note or audio block. Audio recordings you save are stored locally as part of your notes. Temporary recording files may be created during recording and are intended to be removed after saving, canceling, or closing the recording flow. Device storage, OS behavior, crashes, interruptions, or permission changes may affect recording, saving, cleanup, or playback. 2.6 Speech Recognition and transcription If you choose to create text from an audio recording, Nodisey uses Apple’s Speech framework to transcribe selected audio. When on-device recognition is supported by the device, language, and system state, Nodisey attempts to use on-device recognition. When on-device recognition is not available, Apple’s Speech Recognition system may process audio through Apple services according to Apple’s own privacy practices and your device settings. Nodisey does not operate its own speech recognition server and does not send audio to a developer-operated transcription backend. Speech recognition accuracy, language support, availability, network requirements, rate limits, and processing behavior are controlled by Apple and the operating system. The developer cannot guarantee transcription availability, accuracy, completeness, or processing location. 2.7 Vision, OCR, document scanning, and QR scanning Nodisey may use Apple system frameworks such as Vision and VisionKit to support: - Document scanning - Live text detection - QR code scanning - Text recognition in images or drawing previews - Searchable local recognition caches Recognized text may be stored locally inside the App to make notes easier to search. Recognition may be incomplete, inaccurate, unavailable on some devices, or affected by image quality, handwriting quality, lighting, language support, OS behavior, and device capability. 2.8 Apple Intelligence and note suggestions If Apple Intelligence is available on your device and you choose to use Nodisey’s intelligence features, selected note content may be processed through Apple’s Foundation Models framework to help with features such as: - Suggesting a title - Summarizing a note - Extracting action items - Creating study cards Nodisey does not operate a custom AI server for these features. Apple Intelligence, Foundation Models, and related system processing are provided by Apple and may depend on device eligibility, region, language, Apple settings, model availability, operating system version, and Apple service behavior. Generated suggestions may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your purpose. Nothing is applied until you choose to apply or insert the generated result. You are responsible for reviewing generated output before relying on it. 2.9 Translation If you use the translation feature, selected block text may be processed through Apple’s system Translation framework. Translation behavior, language support, availability, accuracy, and processing location are controlled by Apple and the operating system. Nodisey does not operate a custom translation server. 2.10 Study cards and review data If you use study card or review features, the App may store: - Study card front text - Study card back text - Source block references - Source previews - Review status - Due dates - Completion state - Creation and update dates This data is used to provide study and review features locally inside the App. 2.11 Reminders and local notifications If you create note or block reminders and allow notifications, Nodisey uses iOS local notifications to remind you. Notification content may include a note title or short preview for unlocked notes. Locked notes use privacy-protective generic reminder text where available. Nodisey does not use push notification servers and does not upload notification tokens to any developer-operated server. Notification delivery depends on iOS settings, Focus modes, notification permissions, device state, date and time settings, battery state, and Apple’s local notification system. The developer cannot guarantee that reminders will always be delivered, displayed, sounded, or delivered at an exact time. 2.12 Spotlight, Siri, Shortcuts, and App Intents Nodisey may integrate with Apple system features such as Spotlight, Siri, Shortcuts, and App Intents. For system search and shortcuts, Nodisey may make limited information from eligible unlocked notes available to Apple system indexing, such as: - Note title - Short note preview - Update date - Folder keyword - Reminder keyword - App action shortcuts Locked notes and deleted notes are intended to be excluded from Spotlight and App Intent note suggestions. System search, Siri, Shortcuts, Apple Intelligence, and Spotlight behavior are controlled by Apple and your device settings. Information indexed by the operating system may appear outside the App in system interfaces. You can manage some system search and Siri behavior through iOS Settings where available. 2.13 Locked notes and device authentication Nodisey includes a locked note feature that asks for device owner authentication before opening a locked note inside the App. Locked notes are designed to reduce casual access inside the App. They are not a separate encrypted vault and should not be treated as a replacement for strong device security, a secure passcode, Apple ID security, iOS data protection, or separate encrypted storage. Locked note content may still exist in local App storage. Device compromise, unlocked device access, backups, OS behavior, screenshots, copied content, exports, or user actions may expose content. You are responsible for maintaining device security and protecting access to your device. 2.14 Sharing, export, copy, and save actions If you share, export, copy, open, or save content outside Nodisey, the selected data may be handled by Apple system share sheets, other apps, services, recipients, storage locations, or websites you choose. After data leaves Nodisey through a user-initiated share, export, copy, save, screenshot, print, or open-in action, the developer does not control how that external destination stores, uses, processes, deletes, transmits, or protects the data. Temporary files may be created to support sharing or export. The App attempts to use normal system storage and cleanup behavior, but the developer cannot guarantee immediate deletion of every temporary file in all OS states. 2.15 Subscription data Nodisey uses Apple StoreKit for Nodisey Pro subscriptions. Purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, billing, taxes, pricing, payment methods, chargebacks, currency conversion, trial eligibility, offer eligibility, regional availability, App Store account status, and payment details are handled by Apple App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive, process, or store your payment card information. The App may store or read local and StoreKit-provided subscription entitlement status to unlock Pro features, restore purchases, and control free-limit or Pro-only access. 3. Data we do not collect or use Nodisey does not use: - Third-party advertising SDKs - Third-party analytics SDKs - Third-party crash analytics SDKs - Cross-app tracking - Data brokers - Selling of personal data - A developer-operated backend account system - A developer-operated AI server - A developer-operated speech transcription server - A developer-operated translation server - Push notification servers - CloudKit leaderboard features - Custom location tracking - HealthKit data - Contacts access - Calendar access Nodisey does not provide a real server-based account. The profile/account inside the App is a local app profile stored on your device. Apple may separately process App Store, StoreKit, iOS backup, iCloud device backup, diagnostics, Speech Recognition, Translation, Apple Intelligence, Siri, Shortcuts, Spotlight, Photos, Camera, Microphone, and purchase-related information according to Apple’s own privacy practices and your device settings. 4. Legal bases for processing If you are in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another region with similar privacy laws, we rely on the following legal bases where applicable. 5.1 Contract We process data necessary to provide the App features you choose to use, such as notes, folders, media, drawings, PDFs, reminders, profile data, study cards, local search, locked notes, sharing, and subscription access. 5.2 Consent We rely on your consent for permissions and optional features such as: - Camera access - Selected photo access - Add-only Photos access - Microphone access - Speech Recognition - Notifications - Apple system features that require your device-level permission or settings You can withdraw or change many permissions through iOS Settings. Some features may stop working if permissions are denied or revoked. 5.3 Legitimate interests We may process minimal local App data needed to maintain functionality, preserve local state, prevent accidental data loss, keep local search and reminders working, manage temporary files, and maintain App reliability. 5.4 Legal obligations Apple may retain transaction, tax, accounting, legal, financial, fraud-prevention, App Store, StoreKit, or purchase-related information according to Apple’s own requirements. These processes are handled by Apple. 6. Where data is stored Data may be stored: - Locally on your device in App storage - In UserDefaults for selected App settings and profile fields - In Application Support storage for notes, attachments, media, drawings, PDFs, profile image, and related files - In local temporary or cache storage during recording, sharing, export, or processing - In iOS local notification storage for reminders - In Apple Spotlight or system indexes for eligible unlocked note metadata - In Apple StoreKit/App Store systems for purchases and subscriptions - In Apple-controlled services when you use Apple Speech Recognition, Translation, Apple Intelligence, Siri, Shortcuts, Photos, Camera, Microphone, diagnostics, backups, or other system services Nodisey does not operate a custom backend server for user accounts. Nodisey does not currently implement a custom iCloud/CloudKit sync or backup system. However, Apple’s device backup, iCloud Backup, Finder backup, device migration, or other Apple-managed backup mechanisms may include App data depending on your device settings, Apple ID settings, available storage, OS behavior, and Apple’s backup rules. 7. Data sharing We do not sell your data. Data may be processed through Apple services only when needed for App functionality or when you choose to use related system features, including: - Apple StoreKit/App Store for subscriptions and purchases - iOS Camera and VisionKit for capture, document scanning, live text, and QR scanning - iOS Photos and Photos picker for selected images and saving images - iOS Microphone and AVFoundation for audio recording and playback - Apple Speech Recognition for transcription - Apple Vision for text recognition where available - Apple Translation for selected text translation - Apple Intelligence/Foundation Models for selected note suggestions where available - iOS local notifications for reminders - Apple Spotlight, Siri, Shortcuts, and App Intents for system search and actions - Apple diagnostics if you have enabled sharing diagnostics with developers in device settings - Apple backup or device migration services depending on your settings If you share or export content to another app, website, person, or service, that destination is responsible for its own handling of the data. The App does not share your data with third-party advertising or analytics providers. 8. Payment, billing, subscriptions, and Apple services Payment processing, billing, subscription renewal, cancellation, taxes, pricing, refund decisions, chargebacks, regional pricing, currency conversion, offer eligibility, trial eligibility, App Store account status, purchase history, and financial transaction handling are managed by Apple App Store and StoreKit. The developer does not process payment card details, does not store payment card details, does not control Apple’s billing systems, does not control Apple refund decisions, does not control App Store tax handling, and does not control Apple subscription cancellation or renewal systems. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not responsible for Apple-managed payment, billing, renewal, cancellation, refund, tax, pricing, eligibility, currency conversion, App Store account, StoreKit, purchase verification, or financial transaction processes. 9. Data retention Local App data remains on your device until you delete it, delete your local account/app data, permanently delete notes, uninstall the App, or until iOS removes it according to system behavior. Notes moved to Recently Deleted may remain in the App until they are permanently deleted. Permanent deletion attempts to remove the note and related media files from local App storage. Local search indexes, Spotlight indexes, local notifications, temporary files, backup files, caches, and system-managed copies may not be removed at the exact same time in every OS state. Apple may retain App Store, StoreKit, purchase, diagnostic, backup, Speech Recognition, Translation, Apple Intelligence, Siri, Spotlight, or other system-service information according to Apple’s own policies, legal requirements, and user settings. 10. Delete local account and data reset Nodisey includes a local delete account/reset flow. This may delete or reset from the device: - Local profile data - Profile image - Notes - Folders - Attachments - Images - Scanned documents - Drawings - Audio recordings - PDFs - PDF annotations - Study cards - Reminders - Local search state - Local Spotlight indexed note identifiers - Local App preferences - Local onboarding and acceptance state - Local subscription entitlement cache or state stored by the App Because Nodisey does not use a custom backend account system, “Delete Local Account” refers to deleting the local App profile and related local App data from the device. Deleting local App data does not necessarily delete: - Data you exported or shared outside the App - Data saved to Photos - Data copied to the clipboard - Screenshots or screen recordings - Files saved by other apps or recipients - Apple App Store purchase records - Apple StoreKit transaction history - Apple-managed backups or device backups that already contain App data - System diagnostic records controlled by Apple - Any data stored by external destinations you selected If deletion fails because of device storage issues, file permission issues, OS interruption, app termination, backup behavior, or other system conditions, some local data may remain. You may also delete the App from your device and manage Apple backups or app data through iOS, Apple ID, iCloud, or device settings where available. 11. Apple diagnostics Nodisey does not use third-party crash logging or third-party diagnostics tools. Apple may provide developers with crash or diagnostic information if you have enabled sharing diagnostics with app developers in your Apple device settings. This is controlled by Apple and your device settings. 12. User responsibility for storage, backups, and important content The App should not be used as the sole storage location for important, sensitive, legal, financial, medical, academic, business-critical, emergency, or mission-critical information. You are responsible for keeping separate backups of important data outside the App. Insufficient device storage, insufficient iCloud storage, disabled backups, device damage, device loss, app deletion, OS bugs, failed updates, interrupted writes, Apple ID issues, permission changes, user error, or Apple service unavailability may prevent saving, backup, restore, deletion, synchronization, export, transcription, translation, suggestions, reminders, or search from working correctly. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not responsible for data loss, backup failure, restore failure, corrupted local data, deleted content, user error, device failure, Apple service behavior, unavailable permissions, unavailable models, unavailable recognition services, App Store account issues, subscription system issues, or OS-level behavior outside the developer’s control. 13. Your privacy rights Depending on your location, especially if you are in the EU/EEA/UK or another region with similar rights, you may have the right to: - Access your personal data - Correct inaccurate data - Delete your data - Restrict processing - Object to processing - Request data portability - Withdraw consent - Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority Because most data is stored locally on your device or handled through Apple-controlled system services, you can manage much of it directly on your device, inside the App, through iOS Settings, through Apple ID/iCloud settings, through App Store subscription settings, or by deleting the App. For privacy requests, contact: aliyigxt@icloud.com 14. Children’s privacy Nodisey is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through a developer-operated backend. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the App, contact us so we can help remove it where technically possible. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising device use, App Store purchases, subscriptions, family sharing, parental controls, Screen Time restrictions, backups, permissions, and content created inside the App. 15. Security Nodisey uses Apple system frameworks and local device storage mechanisms where possible. No electronic storage, system service, local file, backup, recognition process, translation process, AI process, or transmission method is completely secure. The App is designed to minimize developer-operated data collection, avoid tracking, avoid third-party advertising SDKs, avoid third-party analytics SDKs, and avoid unnecessary external services. You are responsible for protecting your device with a secure passcode, Apple ID security, device encryption settings, biometric settings, iOS updates, backup choices, and careful handling of exported or shared content. 16. Changes to this Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy when the App changes, new features are added, Apple system behavior changes, or legal requirements change. The updated policy will show a new “Last updated” date. 17. Contact For privacy questions or data requests: Ali Yiğit Email: aliyigxt@icloud.com
