Privacy Policy for Solvarg Last updated: June 24, 2026 This Privacy Policy explains how Solvarg (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information. Solvarg is a solar planning, sunlight, shadow, location, and daylight estimation app. The App is designed with a local-first approach. Most app data is stored on your device and is used to provide solar calculations, profile features, saved planning tools, local alerts, and subscription access. We do not sell your data. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, third-party crash analytics, data brokers, or cross-app tracking. 1. Contact For privacy questions or data requests, you may contact: Ali Yiğit Email: [aliyigxt@icloud.com](mailto:aliyigxt@icloud.com) 2. Data the App may process Solvarg may process the following data depending on the features you use. 2.1 Profile and onboarding data The App may store: * First name * Last name * Optional profile image selected by you * Onboarding completion status * Local profile state * Terms of Use and Privacy Policy acceptance state or related onboarding state This data is used to personalize the App experience and manage the local profile. The profile inside Solvarg is a local app profile. Solvarg does not provide a custom server-based account system. 2.2 Location and coordinate data Solvarg may process location-related data to calculate local sun position, shadow direction, daylight timing, and solar alert times. Depending on how you use the App, this may include: * Current location coordinates provided by iOS when you request current location access * Manually entered latitude and longitude * UTC offset * Saved solar places * Place names you enter for saved solar places * Solar planning coordinates used in calculations * Window, garden, panel, bearing, shadow, horizon, and exposure inputs * Object height, shadow length, angle, threshold, and planning values * Shot plan information created by you * Solar exposure session logs created by you Location access is requested only when you choose to use current location features. You can also use manual coordinates instead of automatic location access. Solvarg does not operate a custom location tracking server. Location and coordinate data are used to provide app features and are not sold or used for advertising. 2.3 Selected photo data If you choose a profile photo, the App may process the image you select. The App accesses only the photo you select through Apple’s photo picker. It does not scan your full photo library and does not upload your selected photo to a developer-operated server. Your selected profile image is stored locally inside the App’s local storage unless you delete/reset the local profile data or remove the App. 2.4 Notifications If you allow notifications, Solvarg uses local notifications for solar alerts, such as sunrise, solar noon, golden hour, sunset, or selected shadow-related reminders. The App does not use push notification servers and does not upload notification tokens to a developer-operated server. Notification permission can be managed through iOS Settings. 2.5 Device motion data Solvarg may use Apple device motion data when you enable motion-based or gyro camera controls for the visual solar scene. Device motion data is used locally to control the 3D view. It is not stored as a personal history and is not uploaded to a developer-operated server. 2.6 Subscription data Solvarg uses Apple StoreKit for subscriptions. Purchases, renewals, refunds, billing, taxes, pricing, payment details, cancellation, and subscription management are handled by Apple App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive, process, or store your payment card information. The App may check or store a local subscription entitlement state to unlock Solvarg Premium features. 2.7 Legal link access Solvarg may open external legal pages, such as the Privacy Policy or Terms of Use, in a browser or system web view. When you open external links, Apple, your browser, your internet provider, or the hosting provider of the page may process technical access information according to their own privacy practices. Solvarg does not use these links for advertising or cross-app tracking. 3. Data we do not collect or use Solvarg does not use: * Third-party advertising * Third-party analytics * Third-party crash analytics * Cross-app tracking * Data brokers * Selling of personal data * A custom backend account system * A developer-operated location tracking server * Push notification servers * Cloud leaderboard features * External AI processing servers * Contact access * Microphone access * Health data access * Financial account access Solvarg does not require you to create a server-based account. Apple may separately process App Store, StoreKit, iCloud backup, diagnostics, purchase, and device-related information according to Apple’s own privacy practices and your Apple device settings. 4. How we use data We use data only to: * Provide App features * Save your local app state * Personalize your local profile * Calculate sun position, shadow direction, daylight timing, and solar estimates * Save manual coordinates and solar planning inputs * Save optional solar places, shot plans, and session logs * Schedule local solar notifications * Verify subscription access through Apple StoreKit * Restore or recognize subscription access where StoreKit supports it * Display legal links and App-related information We do not use your data for advertising or tracking. 5. Legal bases for processing If you are in the European Union, European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases where applicable. 5.1 Contract We process data necessary to provide the App features you choose to use, such as profile functionality, solar calculations, saved planning tools, local alerts, and subscription access. 5.2 Consent We rely on your consent for optional permissions and features such as: * Location access * Selected photo access * Local notifications * Device motion-based view control where applicable You can withdraw permissions through iOS Settings or inside the App where controls are available. 5.3 Legitimate interests We may process minimal local app data needed to maintain functionality, preserve local state, prevent accidental data loss, provide saved planning tools, and keep the App reliable. 5.4 Legal obligations Apple may retain transaction-related information for tax, accounting, legal, financial reporting, and App Store compliance obligations. This is handled by Apple. 6. Where data is stored Data may be stored: * Locally on your device * In Apple StoreKit/App Store systems for subscription and purchase handling * In Apple-managed device or iCloud backups if your device backup settings include app data * In Apple diagnostics systems if you have enabled diagnostic sharing with developers * Through external legal page hosting only when you choose to open legal links We do not operate a custom backend server for user accounts, location tracking, analytics, advertising, or cloud profiles. 7. Data sharing We do not sell your data. Data may be processed through Apple services only when needed for app functionality: * Apple StoreKit/App Store for subscriptions and purchases * iOS location services for current location access when requested * iOS local notifications for solar alerts * Apple photo picker for selected profile photo access * Apple device motion frameworks for motion-based view control * Apple diagnostics if enabled in your device settings The App does not share your data with third-party advertising or analytics providers. 8. Payment, billing, subscriptions, and Apple services Payment processing, billing, subscription renewal, cancellation, taxes, pricing, refund decisions, chargebacks, regional pricing, currency conversion, offer eligibility, trial eligibility, and financial transaction handling are managed by Apple App Store and StoreKit. The developer does not process payment card details, does not store payment card details, does not control Apple’s billing systems, does not control Apple refund decisions, does not control App Store tax handling, and does not control Apple subscription cancellation or renewal systems. The developer cannot be held responsible for Apple-managed payment, billing, renewal, cancellation, refund, tax, pricing, eligibility, currency conversion, App Store account, StoreKit, or financial transaction processes, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Deleting the local profile or uninstalling the App does not automatically cancel an active Apple subscription. Subscriptions must be managed through your Apple App Store account settings. 9. Solar calculations, estimates, and user responsibility Solvarg provides solar, daylight, shadow, and exposure calculations for planning and estimation purposes only. Results may depend on: * Location accuracy * Manually entered coordinates * Date and time settings * UTC offset * Device settings * iOS permission status * Sensor availability * Local terrain, buildings, trees, walls, weather, or horizon conditions not known to the App * User-entered values such as bearings, heights, shadow lengths, arcs, and thresholds Solvarg is not a certified engineering, construction, architectural, safety, navigation, surveying, legal, financial, emergency, or professional solar installation tool. You are responsible for independently verifying important decisions before relying on any calculation, estimate, notification, saved plan, or visual result. 10. Data retention Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, reset the relevant local data, remove saved entries where controls are available, or uninstall the App. Saved solar places, shot plans, session logs, profile information, selected photo data, manual coordinate values, alert preferences, and planning inputs may remain in local app storage until removed by you or deleted through system-level app removal. Apple may retain purchase and transaction information according to Apple’s own legal, financial, and App Store requirements. Apple-managed device backups may retain app data according to your Apple ID, iCloud, device backup, and Apple retention settings. 11. Delete local profile and data reset Solvarg may include a local profile delete/reset flow. This may delete or reset local profile-related data such as: * First name * Last name * Selected profile image * Local onboarding/profile state Because Solvarg does not use a custom backend account system, “Delete Local Account” refers to deleting or resetting the local app profile on the device. It does not delete an Apple ID, App Store account, Apple purchase history, Apple subscription record, Apple diagnostics record, or Apple-managed transaction information. Some non-profile planning data, such as saved solar places, shot plans, session logs, manual inputs, alert preferences, or subscription entitlement information, may require separate deletion controls, app removal, or Apple system settings depending on how the data is stored and managed. If you uninstall the App, iOS may remove local app container data from the device, subject to Apple’s operating system behavior and your backup settings. 12. Apple diagnostics Solvarg does not use third-party crash logging or third-party diagnostics tools. Apple may provide developers with crash or diagnostic information if you have enabled sharing diagnostics with app developers in your Apple device settings. This is controlled by Apple and your device settings. 13. User responsibility for storage and backups The App should not be used as the sole storage location for important, sensitive, legal, financial, medical, academic, business-critical, construction-critical, safety-critical, emergency, or mission-critical information. You are responsible for keeping separate backups of important data outside the App. Insufficient device storage, disabled backups, unavailable Apple services, iCloud limitations, device resets, app deletion, OS errors, permission changes, or user error may affect saving, restore, deletion, notification scheduling, subscription recognition, or app behavior. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer cannot be held responsible for data loss, backup delay, failed restore, Apple service unavailability, device storage problems, iOS behavior, permission settings, user-entered errors, or Apple-managed account and backup systems. 14. Your privacy rights Depending on your location, especially if you are in the EU/EEA/UK, you may have the right to: * Access your personal data * Correct inaccurate data * Delete your data * Restrict processing * Object to processing * Request data portability * Withdraw consent * Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority Because most Solvarg data is stored locally on your device or handled by Apple systems, you can manage much of it directly on your device, inside the App where controls exist, through iOS Settings, or through your Apple ID/App Store settings. For privacy requests, contact: [aliyigxt@icloud.com](mailto:aliyigxt@icloud.com) 15. Children’s privacy Solvarg is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through a developer-operated server. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the App, contact us so we can help remove it where technically possible. 16. Security Solvarg uses Apple system frameworks and local device storage mechanisms where possible. StoreKit, App Store purchases, iOS location services, selected photo access, local notifications, Apple diagnostics, and Apple-managed backups are handled through Apple’s infrastructure and user device settings. No electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure, but the App is designed to minimize data collection, avoid tracking, and avoid unnecessary third-party services. 17. Changes to this Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy when the App changes, new features are added, Apple platform behavior changes, or legal requirements change. The updated policy will show a new “Last updated” date. 18. Contact For privacy questions or data requests: Ali Yiğit Email: [aliyigxt@icloud.com](mailto:aliyigxt@icloud.com)
