Privacy Policy for Ultrasyde Last updated: August 31, 2026 This Privacy Policy explains how Ultrasyde (“Ultrasyde” or the “App”), provided by Ali Yiğit (“Developer”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), handles information. Ultrasyde is designed so that ordinary App data is processed locally on your device whenever reasonably possible. The Developer does not operate a backend server that receives ordinary Ultrasyde user data and does not maintain a developer-operated user account database. The Developer does not sell personal data, use third-party advertising SDKs, use third-party analytics SDKs, use third-party crash analytics SDKs, use data brokers, or perform cross-app tracking. Some App features use Apple-provided system frameworks or Apple-managed services. Information may therefore be processed, transmitted, collected, retained, or otherwise handled by Apple independently under Apple’s privacy policies, system architecture, permissions, account settings, and applicable terms. Important distinction: local processing and Developer collection Ultrasyde may process information locally on your device to provide requested features. For purposes of this Policy, when we state that the Developer does not “collect” ordinary App data, we mean that Ultrasyde does not transmit that ordinary data to, or retain it on, a Developer-operated backend, analytics system, advertising system, or user database. Local processing or local storage inside the App does not mean that the Developer receives or can remotely view that information. Apple or another destination you deliberately use may separately process or retain information under its own policies. 3. Information processed locally by Ultrasyde Depending on the features you use, Ultrasyde may locally process or store limited information needed to operate the App, including: • A display name you enter • A profile image or locally generated profile-image thumbnail you select • App settings and preferences • Onboarding or legal-acceptance state • Premium/free-feature usage state • Local subscription-access state needed to present available features • Your selected observer-location mode • A manually selected observer location when you choose to keep using that location • Temporary camera or image-processing data needed to complete a requested capture • Other minimal local technical state required for App functionality This information is used only to provide the App features you request and maintain local App state. It is not sent to a Developer-operated user database, advertising platform, data broker, or analytics service. 4. Location information Ultrasyde may request access to your device location when you choose to use device-location features. Device location may be used to provide location-dependent astronomical calculations, sky orientation, observer positioning, event information, atmospheric calculations, and related functionality. Ultrasyde does not maintain a Developer-operated location database and does not send your location to a Developer-operated server. Live device-location fixes obtained for App functionality are used during the relevant App operation and are not intentionally persisted by Ultrasyde as a Developer-accessible location history. If you manually choose an observer location on the App’s map, Ultrasyde may store that manually selected location locally on your device so the App can remember your selection. This may include the selected coordinates and a location name made available through Apple mapping services. This local selection is not transmitted to a Developer-operated server. 5. Apple Location Services and Apple Maps Ultrasyde uses Apple system frameworks such as Core Location and MapKit for supported location and map functionality. Use of these Apple frameworks does not mean that the Developer receives your location. However, Apple may independently process, transmit, collect, retain, or use location information, map requests, search or geocoding information, device or service information, and related data when Apple Location Services, Apple Maps, MapKit, or other Apple-managed functionality is involved. Apple controls its own system services, infrastructure, privacy practices, retention practices, account relationships, and device-level settings. Motion, orientation, heading, altitude, and atmospheric sensor information Ultrasyde may use Apple-provided device sensor information such as motion, orientation, heading, altitude-related information, or atmospheric pressure when needed for astronomy, sky orientation, camera alignment, or related functionality. This sensor information is processed for the requested App feature. Ultrasyde does not operate a Developer server that receives or stores a history of this sensor information. Apple, iOS, device hardware, and Apple system frameworks control the underlying sensor availability, permissions, calibration, and system behavior. 7. Camera Ultrasyde may request camera access when you use its camera features. Camera input is used to provide the live camera experience, capture photographs, and support astronomy-related visual overlays or rendering requested by you. The Developer does not receive a live camera feed and does not operate a server that receives your camera content. Temporary image data or temporary files may be created locally while the App processes a capture. These temporary materials are used only as needed to complete the requested operation and are not maintained as a Developer-operated photo archive. 8. Photos and profile images Ultrasyde may allow you to: • Select a profile image through Apple’s system photo-selection interface • Create a local profile-image thumbnail • Capture a photograph • Save a photograph to Apple Photos A profile image selected for the App may be locally processed and stored as a local App profile image or thumbnail. When you save a photograph to Photos, the resulting image is stored and managed through Apple Photos and your device or Apple account settings. The Developer does not operate a cloud photo library for Ultrasyde and does not receive your selected profile image or captured photographs through a Developer backend. Apple Photos, iCloud Photos, device backups, or other Apple services may separately process or retain images according to Apple’s settings and privacy practices. 9. Local profile Ultrasyde does not currently provide a Developer-operated server account. A name or profile shown inside the App is a local App profile. The App may store the display name and profile image needed for that local profile on your device. The Developer cannot remotely access, recover, edit, or delete ordinary local profile information that has never been transmitted to the Developer. 10. Premium usage state Ultrasyde may locally store minimal usage counters or reset information needed to enforce free-use limits and determine whether a premium feature is available. This state is local App functionality and is not used for advertising, profiling, data brokerage, or cross-app tracking. 11. Subscriptions, purchases, and StoreKit Ultrasyde uses Apple StoreKit and the App Store for premium subscriptions and purchase-related functionality. Apple manages payment processing, billing, subscription renewal, cancellation, taxes, pricing, regional pricing, currency conversion, payment authorization, refunds, chargebacks, offer eligibility, purchase history, fraud prevention, and App Store account processes. The Developer does not receive or store your full payment-card information. The App may access Apple-provided product, transaction, subscription, or entitlement information as needed to determine whether premium access is active. Apple may independently collect and retain App Store, transaction, account, device, purchase, payment, fraud-prevention, and related information under Apple’s policies and legal obligations. Apple collection and processing Although the Developer does not collect ordinary Ultrasyde user data through a Developer backend, Apple may collect or process information independently when you use an Apple device, the App Store, StoreKit, Location Services, Maps, Photos, diagnostics, device backups, or other Apple-managed features. Depending on the Apple service, your settings, your region, your account, and Apple’s current policies, this may include categories such as: • App Store purchase and transaction information • Device or account information • Diagnostics, crash, or performance information • Location or location-related service information • Maps or geocoding requests • Subscription and entitlement information • Fraud-prevention or security information • Information required to provide Apple system services This information is controlled by Apple, not by the Developer. Apple diagnostics Ultrasyde does not use third-party crash analytics or third-party diagnostic SDKs. Apple may collect crash, performance, or diagnostic information through iOS and may make certain diagnostic information available to developers when permitted by Apple’s systems and your device settings. Any diagnostic information collected by Apple is subject to Apple’s privacy policies and controls. The Developer does not control Apple’s collection, retention, anonymization, aggregation, or disclosure of Apple diagnostics. 14. Data we do not use for Developer-operated tracking Ultrasyde does not use: • Third-party advertising SDKs • Third-party analytics SDKs • Third-party crash analytics SDKs • Cross-app tracking • Advertising identifiers for behavioral advertising • Data brokers • A Developer-operated advertising profile • A Developer-operated user analytics database • A Developer-operated location-history database • A Developer-operated cloud photo database • A Developer-operated payment processor • A Developer-operated user account backend We do not sell ordinary Ultrasyde user data. 15. How information is used Information processed by Ultrasyde is used only as reasonably necessary to: • Provide astronomy and simulation features • Calculate location-dependent astronomical results • Display sky and observer-related information • Support camera and sky-overlay functionality • Save photographs when you request it • Maintain your local profile and preferences • Remember a manually selected observer location • Maintain free-use limits • Determine premium access through Apple StoreKit • Maintain required local App state • Protect the integrity and functionality of App features • Comply with applicable legal obligations where required Ultrasyde does not use ordinary App data for third-party advertising, data brokerage, or cross-app tracking. 16. Data sharing The Developer does not sell ordinary App data or share ordinary local App data with advertisers or data brokers. Information may nevertheless leave the App in limited circumstances outside a Developer-operated backend, including when: • You use an Apple-managed system feature that requires Apple processing • You save a photograph to Apple Photos • You use Apple Maps or location-related Apple services • You purchase or restore a subscription through Apple • Apple processes diagnostics according to your device settings • Your device or Apple account creates a backup under your settings • You deliberately share, export, copy, save, or otherwise send content to another destination After information is handled by Apple or another destination, that party’s own privacy policy, security practices, retention rules, and terms apply. 17. Data storage Depending on the feature, limited Ultrasyde information may exist: • Locally on your device • In local App preferences • In local App-support storage • Temporarily in device storage during image processing • In Apple Photos when you save a photograph • In Apple StoreKit/App Store systems for purchase and subscription handling • In Apple-managed backup systems depending on your device and account settings • In Apple-managed Maps, Location Services, diagnostics, or other system services to the extent Apple processes information under its own policies Ultrasyde does not operate a Developer-controlled cloud database for ordinary user content. 18. Data retention Local Ultrasyde data generally remains on your device until you remove or replace it, reset or delete relevant App state, uninstall the App, or iOS removes it according to system behavior. Live device-location fixes are not intentionally retained by Ultrasyde as a persistent location history. A manually selected observer location may remain locally stored until it is replaced, removed through App behavior, App data is reset, or the App is deleted. Profile information and local App preferences may remain until changed, removed, reset, or deleted with the App. Photographs saved to Apple Photos remain subject to Apple Photos and your Apple account settings and are not automatically removed merely because Ultrasyde is deleted. Apple-controlled purchase, transaction, diagnostic, account, security, location-service, or other information may be retained by Apple according to Apple’s own policies and legal requirements. 19. App deletion and local-data removal Deleting Ultrasyde will normally remove App-owned local data according to iOS behavior. However, deleting the App may not delete information that exists separately outside the App, including: • Photographs already saved to Apple Photos • Information retained in iCloud or device backups • App Store purchase or subscription records • Apple diagnostic information • Apple account or transaction information • Information retained by Apple Location Services, Maps, or other Apple services under Apple’s policies • Copies you have independently saved or shared elsewhere You may need to manage such information separately through Apple settings, Photos, your Apple Account, App Store subscription management, or another destination. 20. Legal bases for processing Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, including in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, processing may rely on the following bases where applicable: Contract or requested service: Minimal local processing is performed when necessary to provide a feature you request. Consent: Apple system permissions and optional features, such as location, motion-related access, camera, and photo saving, operate subject to the permissions or choices you provide. Legitimate interests: Minimal local technical state may be processed where reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and protect App functionality, provided those interests are not overridden by applicable rights. Legal obligations: The Developer or Apple may process information where required by applicable law. Apple independently determines its legal bases for Apple-controlled processing. 21. Your choices and permissions You control many privacy-sensitive App capabilities through iOS. Depending on the feature and current Apple system behavior, you may be able to: • Allow or deny location access • Control Precise Location • Allow or deny motion-related permissions where applicable • Allow or deny camera access • Allow or deny permission to add photographs to Photos • Change Apple diagnostic-sharing settings • Manage App Store subscriptions • Change Apple account, iCloud, backup, Maps, Location Services, and Photos settings Disabling a permission may prevent the corresponding Ultrasyde feature from working fully or may cause the App to use a fallback or manually selected option where supported. 22. Your privacy rights Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights concerning personal data, including rights to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, or complaint to a data-protection authority. Because ordinary Ultrasyde user data is generally stored only on your device and is not held in a Developer-operated user database, the Developer may not possess a remotely accessible copy that can be searched, exported, corrected, or deleted on your behalf. For local App information, you can generally manage it directly through the App, your device, or by deleting the App. For information controlled by Apple, requests must generally be directed to Apple or managed through Apple’s privacy and account tools. Security Ultrasyde is designed to minimize unnecessary transmission of ordinary App data and relies on Apple platform security and local storage mechanisms where appropriate. No device, operating system, storage method, permission system, backup system, or electronic processing method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, Apple Account, passcode, biometric access, photographs, backups, and other information available through your device. Information processed or retained by Apple is protected according to Apple’s own security practices and policies, which are outside the Developer’s control. 24. Children’s privacy Ultrasyde is intended for a general audience and is not designed to create a Developer-operated database of children’s personal information. The Developer does not knowingly collect ordinary personal data from children through a Developer-operated server because Ultrasyde does not operate such a user-data backend. Apple’s processing of account, App Store, device, location, or other information is governed independently by Apple’s services, family-account controls, age requirements, and privacy policies. If you believe the Developer has received personal information in a manner not described by this Policy, contact us. 25. International processing by Apple Apple may process information in countries or regions determined by Apple according to the Apple service being used, your region, Apple’s infrastructure, and applicable law. The Developer does not determine or control the international locations used by Apple for Apple-controlled processing. For information about Apple’s international data practices, consult Apple’s Privacy Policy and service-specific privacy disclosures. 26. External destinations If you deliberately save, share, export, copy, or otherwise send information outside Ultrasyde, the destination may receive and retain that information. The Developer does not control third-party recipients, external services, Apple services, or copies outside the App. You are responsible for reviewing the privacy and security practices of any destination you choose. 27. Changes to this Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to Ultrasyde, Apple system behavior, Apple policies, legal requirements, subscriptions, permissions, or App features. The current Policy will display its “Last updated” date. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a material privacy change, we will comply with that requirement. 28. Relationship with Apple privacy policies This Privacy Policy describes the Developer’s handling of information through Ultrasyde. It does not replace, modify, or control Apple’s Privacy Policy or Apple’s service-specific privacy disclosures. Apple is independently responsible for information Apple collects or processes through Apple-controlled services.
